Rachel Weingarten is a long time cosmetic industry insider and former celebrity makeup artist, product developer, award-winning author, marketing strategist, beauty historian and author of three award-winning non-fiction books including Hello Gorgeous!, Beauty Products in America ’40s – ’60s which inspired a week-long retro beauty event at Henri Bendel.
IShe’s lectured on beauty history and advertising and cosmetic and fragrance marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology; Personal Branding on the graduate and undergraduate levels at NYU; and partnered with luxury brand LVMH on their luxury retail series for which I created/taught: From Cleopatra to the Kardashians, a short history of beauty culture at Parsons. Rachel’s created fun, interactive workshops on evolving beauty for cosmetic and pharmaceutical corporations and consulted for cosmetics giants including the Estee Lauder brands, Shu Uemura, Benefit Cosmetics, Coty, Procter and Gamble and many more. Rachel is a frequent guest speaker and repeat keynote speaker for the Society of Cosmetics Chemists and many more groups. She’s also appeared on the Sundance Channel series Love/Lust & Makeup along with Stacy London & Bobbi Brown.
